Agence53 Newsletter N° 10

You will have noticed the new label '11éme Centenaire de la Normandie' displayed throughout the website. The aim of this trademark is to give Normandy an identity instantly recognisable worldwide and to firmly establish its reputation. Agence53 is one of the first to be approved to display this quality label because of the work it already does in promoting Normandy.

As we mentioned in Newsletter N° 7, Agence53 was a finalist in a competition run by the local TV station 5050 TV and its partners for innovative new businesses most promoting La Manche region of Normandy. We have now been filmed and it was screened throughout November and December 2009. In January the 3 winners were selected and although we weren't chosen on this occasion it was a great experience and we were pleased to have got so much publicity.

Soft Burp a young French band played in Guernsey in December 2009 despite the snow blocking roads and the ferry being delayed. We didn't have time to mention them in our previous newsletter unfortunately. They call their style of music psychedelic rock and write a lot of their own material, a really great band. Quote: - 'I went down for their Sat night gig. I thought they were excellent …'
